6. IRS asked for more info 8 months ago. Today I called them.

They have the papers I sent them. They don't know when they will look at it. It's for 2020 tax year. When they issued STIM for 2020 tax year, I was also due a small credit. They failed to issue the credit, then deducted it from the STIM. So the actual check I got was smaller. I'm seeking the refund of the credit. And I have given them all the information I have. Taxpayer Advocate Service refused to open a case, referred me to the IRS in April of this year. Now they tell me to call back in October.

At this point I don't even care about the money. I will survive with or without it. But it would be nice for them to acknowledge a resolution to the case, to the information THEY, THE IRS, requested.
