1. I don't understand this technique of negotiating..back n forth with crossed out or additional demands

Why can’t reps for Ukraine and Russia sit down to serious discussions with a more experienced team from the EU and member nations in NATO and others familiar with the situation and traditions of the two major parties and work together to end this war. The US should not be in on these talks..we aren’t neutral and our allies are aware of our inconsistencies throughout these almost 4 years.
