... that the way they were murdered might give them a hint on whether it was a hate crime or not. Hello? Of course it was a hate crime! They were lesbians and they were found together, dead. Duh!
All we can hope is that the scene, as well as their bodies, were combed meticulously for evidence. Whenever I hear stories like this, I have a gazillion questions that weren't provided in the report. Like did they drive their vehicle to Galveston? Where was the vehicle found? Did they go with a group of friends? When was the last time they were seen alive?
I had a friend that was lesbian who was murdered about 20 years ago and they never did find a suspect. I've always thought the police probably weren't committed to finding the murderer. (In a red state, I might add.) It devastated her mother, whom my sister and I have since "adopted." We grew with that lady... we were kids together back when kids went outside and played. She was so cute and spunky. God we miss her.
