Dear AntiFacisit,

It makes me feel good to know you were there too! I share in your feelings of those days because we were both there and even though we may have passed each other, even stood beside each other or said "Hello!" we've never properly met.

I hate to admit it but during those Iran-Contra Hearings when Reagan said "I don't remember!", I said "I hope he get Alzheimers!" and guess what? he did! I am ashamed to admit I felt vindicated in some sordid, smug way.

I do feel for today's LGBTQ+ folks, young and old. I fear we will be seeing more backlash than most realize. I hope I'm wrong but I have an eerie feeling about this. Things are looking way too familiar for some of us older folks that know what it was like back then to be gay.

Thank you for replying! Shared memories are a way for all of to learn from others and teach others. There is more value there than most realize!

May You Be Healthy, Safe and Happy.....AND LOVED!
Reis, Tommy's Proud and Loving Husband of 41 Years!
