11. Yeah, glasses are outrageously expensive, especially with a strong prescription.

My last prescription was close to the price you described — eight years ago. After cataract surgery I put them on, and could see nothing. It was like looking as sheet of typing paper; everything was white. Fortunately, I don’t wear glasses now.
