My wife was out of town for 2 days and I wasn't even tempted. [View all]
To all of you in early recovery, there's hope! When my wife used to travel, it was the perfect excuse to get totally hammered. Even after I had quit, until recently I would think about sneaking some booze the whole time she was gone. Then something happened about six months ago. I rarely have urges and don't miss it. So hang in there guys! If I can do it, you can too. It's just takes time.
