2. Trump's not a fascist

He's a populist demagogue. Fascists typically want to burn down the existing system and replace it with an altogether different one - they're revolutionaries. Populists, on the other hand, are simply heads of cults of personality that want to control the existing structures - they're reactionaries. Fascists are mostly historical oddities, but populist demagogues are very often quite dangerous (think Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc.)

Semantics aside, I'm coming to believe that the dam is actually breaking against Trump at this point. Women, even the Karens that you reference, have kids and grandkids. They're beginning to see for themselves the effects of Covid-19, and they're thinking about what happens when their kids are forced to go back to school by late August, and they are becoming angry that their governors are not doing the right things and moving the classes online. All it will take will be will be the death of a couple of kids to the Coronavirus, and they will turn on Trump, even the most hardened evangelicals - I suspect you will also see a whole lot of divorces as these same women realize that they're married to assholes who put politics over their own children.
