We'll keep the House and quite likely take over the Senate. And we will still have a huge amount of work to do to save our democracy. The end of Trump is not the end of the threat. It's only the beginning of the reversal of what he's done in four short (very long) years.

Personally, I don't think there's much to gain in worrying about worst-case scenarios. It's human nature for some, of course, but I just don't think it's worth the time or effort to worry about things that are highly unlikely to occur. There's little evidence that he can close the gap or is even trending upward, as he was in 2016. The apocalyptic assertions that the SC is going to just hand him the win, regardless of context, are really just Trump pipe dreams and we should treat them accordingly.

Could any of it happen? Yeah, but almost assuredly not. I'd rather believe that people are actually going to do the right thing this time, and that thought is based on the current reality. Much better for my sanity, anxiety, depression, etc.
