I have a son on SSDI and have never heard he could not leave the state he's in. Since it's through the feds, how would the state even matter? If it were Medicaid, it would probably need a new application in a new state, but not SSDI.

I just did a quick Google search and I'm right.

Google is definitely a better friend than your guy, at this point in his life, anyway.
