2. I don't think the current Supreme Court would change the decision.

They were put on the Court by Leonard Leo, who agreed to support Trump in 2016 if he would appoint Federalist Society-approved judges, which Trump did. They were put on the Court to reverse Roe and to create special rights for the evangelical white Christians who believe that the US should be a theocracy. And they have done what they were supposed to do, their influence can only be countered now with an expansion of the Court, which is a hard slog.
