1. My mom made a variation of those rum balls using graham crackers and nuts (walnuts, then later, pecans).

It was a Christmas treat. She would start them a few weeks before thanksgiving and let them sit until Thanksgiving day. She would sprinkle a little bit more rum on them as they sat. Whew, were they potent but good, lol. She used to caution folks not to eat more than 2 or 3. I miss her.
