Yesterday

Son was up so late that he slept until 4, and I was wrapped up in a book until almost that late, still lazing in bed when he got up, so we didn’t even start cooking until after 8… Luckily, we only have to work around ourselves and managed to be on the same schedule today.

I’d already made my vegan turkey roast a couple days ago and just needed to heat it through. Added a mix of roasted tatties and carrots (both multi-colour, oddly enough—russet, red, and blue tatties and white, yellow, orange, and purple carrots—plus cornbread stuffing and gravy, then pecan pie for dessert.

Looking forward to turkey sandwiches tomorrow—whenever we manage to get up. At least we don’t have tryptophan to drag us down on top of the full bellies.
