2. K/R. I think kids are naturally altruistic. Culture beats that feature out of them.

I'm afraid that our culture teaches them to be selfish and competitive rather than helpful and giving.

The best of humanity just doesn't meet the needs of our commercial economy, which tells us over and over that we are inadequate unless we buy something.
