My uncle KIA Vietnam 5/1/68 usmc [View all]

so I stopped by nursing home to visit my mother today. And she says hey kid I’m 52 she still calls me kid three grown daughters and two 13 year old boys at home. told me do you know what today is. today your uncle was killed in Vietnam he was a sweet kid. She still remembers at her being 76 years old , I never knew mike my uncle. I do know his mom my grandmother still feeling the pain into the 90’s until she passed over mike. She used to say a parent should not have to bury a child.
As former infantry vet I am thankful I never had to be in war.
