Some practical tips:
Wear cargo pants or shorts. The more pockets the better, to hold keys, ID, hand sanitizer, tissues or whatever. Don't carry anything you don't have to. Organizers may provide water, but take a small thermos of water if you can.
Wear a hat to protect you from sun, and wear sunscreen and sunglasses.
If standing for a long time is a problem, and you don't have to walk too far, you might want to take a folding stool. A lot of us in Florida do that.

I've been protesting in ruby-red Florida for literally years. Met many wonderful people who care about this country and our rights. Counter-protestors exist, but they're not the big problem. Just don't respond/engage with anyone who challenges you. Stay cool, don't make eye contact, and hang with the other No Kings people.

Oh, take throat lozenges so you can whoop and yell with joy when supporters in passing cars honk and give you thumbs up.
