        The Reacher novels by Lee Child have sold about a trillion copies. Surprising you haven't encountered them. Have you read the Martin Beck novels by Per Wahloo & Maj Sjowall? Still my favorite Scandinavian krimis.

        I've seen the name Lee Child pop up, but I tend to avoid any books categorized as "thrillers".
