It's unclear that the murderer saw any "color" beyond blue; he shot at everyone on the street, apparently.

The point that a Mexican-American officer, who from all accounts is exactly the kind of dedicated individual society wants to have step forward to carry a badge, was gunned down in cold blood by a native-born white man, and it is safe to bet we will hear nothing from Trump and the racists of the GOP about it.

But yes, it it tragic.
