Any OHV enthusiasts here? 
Besides me?
The Hammers is an OHV area in Johnson Valley in the Southern California desert. It is about half of the total area available to OHV's in the California desert statewide. It also is adjacent to the Marine base at 29 Palms, and they want it. The decision is coming up soon. Please take a minute to watch this video which explains the importance of the Hammers to OHVers, and why expansion into it isn't necessary. Even if you don't like OHV's, once Johnson Valley gets absorbed by the military, it will be very difficult to regain public access for anybody.
