Run away Bass fishing like Monty python and the holy grail

Yesterday we hit and hit it hard. The boys boog and dad. We were held up at house as a thunder storm came and went. Then sun shine we’re off. First stop a small stream where we net crayfish minnows for bait. And in one netting my sons drop the net full of minnows once they saw that we also caught a water snake. That causesd the first run away. As the boys hauled ass , I calmed them down. Explaining that yes water snakes do have a shock value. Even for dad but they won’t hurt you.

So then we’re off to the river. And wading and we’re catching mostly bass. I even caught a bass on a minnow and in his mouth he had a crayfish he ate. I’m thinking it’s gonna be awesome day. I’m looking under rocks for helgramites bass love them. Boys are catching the boog is swimming and drinking river water. And I hear dad look at that. Big storm clouds ok guys to the car. We can wait it out well in the car. I get dad I gotta crap I’m thinking ok I’ll take you to general store. No let’s go home the store doesn’t have 2 ply. Note to dad from here on out Carry 2 ply in supplies. We’re only five miles from the 2 ply at home. So I drove home for junior to crap. We had lunch and headed out in afternoon. And we had great weather and we caught a decent amount of bass. So it was a good day. We were even catching after boog would swim through a hole hey guys I’m swimming Doing dog stuff. We hung out on these rocks letting our sandals and legs in the river. Boog is drinking river water and peeing on the rock. Boys break out bologna and cheese sandwiches boog says cool time for second lunch.
