27. While I agree with your statement that

euro24 is of a higher standard, as is evident even at the club level, l view the WC through a slightly different lens. If the world can come together in 90 min increments to forget our geopolitical threats, our petty differences, skin color and religion, then surely there might still be some hope that mankind will intellectually mature and planet Earth may have a better chance of survival. Such is the power of the WC.
Note: l think Pele once said much the same.
