4. The melting of ice consumes a huge amount of heat

The heat ansorbed is like 150 times as much the last degree before melting than to move ice or water one degree outside of that transition degree. This has been masking hiw serious 426 ppm of CO2 is. Last time the Earth was above 420 ppm the average temp was Twenty degrees warmer. A huge climate calamity awaits us and when it goes exponential things will be deadly serious. All the mass extinctions were caused by large temprature shifts. Those occured over much longer time scales.
