Social Awkwardness

I ran into my childhood best friend a few days ago. We were inseparable for years until I moved away.

My heart immediately swelled and I remembered how much I loved my friend.

I've never had social media so when I run into someone, I truly get to know them again from scratch.

She said "I've been looking for you for 30 years"

And my reply was "I saw a shirt the other day that said.....stop finding me"



She laughed and said I was the same person she remembered all those years ago.

Now I'm like .."I guess I've always been an asshole"

Shit

My mouth has never quite slowed down to match my brain.

I was up for hours last night thinking about how I should not have blurted that out. I really did like that shirt though.



Slinking back into my cave...
