14. I had an awkward moment with a best friend from childhood

well, I thought she was a best friend until she corrected me.
I mean we did so much together, lived next door to each other, and had so much in common. Played dolls, got into kids trouble and so on. We reminisced it all and laughed so much over it when we ran into each other years later at the same job location (our companies had merged and now we were working together)

Until she blurted out one day that we were not best friends back then. Her best friend was so and so.
And well, that blew me away and really kind of just stunned. Here we are decades later, and kind of picked up where we left off and laughed and talked up quite a bit about those days.

Well, I just kind of slinked away into my cave too. (lol)

PS I never called her best friend again since I was corrected. Her best friend, so and so is so smart and talks like someone from CNN (that is what she said)...... as I slink away....lol...
