Why Introverts Hate Small Talk

14. Every week we would go

To his parents house for dinner. It was like 3 hours of small talk and it drove me crazy. I just wanted to eat and go. But no, my ex would bring up another small topic and for a moment I would think of punching him in a kidney. Anyways this was every week and often holidays. The best times there were playing bocci ball, trying to learn his moms craft, knitting which I still don’t get , playing with thier cat zoning out in front of the fireplace and picnics and dinner. I brought bead projects and other stuff to distract when it got to be too much.
