2016 Postmortem

(1,145 posts)but it's not quite over yet - I'm waiting to see how the remaining primaries play out and then make some decisions then. What I do know is that I would never, under any circumstances, vote for someone as wicked and corrupt as Hillary Clinton.
The anti-austerity movement has been a global one, and with Bernie's ascension during this primary process, the US (which I consider among the most right-wing/semi-fascist countries on the planet) even developed its own version. We are up against not only a large extremist contingent of right-wing, knuckle-dragging racists and misogynists, but also a pro-corporate, misanthropic neoliberal contingent that is more than ready to see this country continue flowing down the sewage pipes into irrelevance.
When Hillary has given even more to her people (her "base" as Bush called them - the economic elite) and the ordinary people are suffering and we are engaged in even more senseless wars, I'll be here to give her and her disciples hell for their choices. They can't defend her now and they won't be able to when she's tearing this country down even more than it is now.
