(12,315 posts)Unless the system changes structurally - run off triggers, etc. - there will be a binary choice come November. Maybe a third party will be thrown in the mix. This year is bizarre, so it could be a tertiary choice.
But the thing to keep in mind is structural changes will not take place before November. Do you get it? Sitting it out is a vote for the opposition. Voting for a third party with no chance of winning is a vote for the opposition as much as walking into the voting booth and pulling the lever for trump.
The stakes for labor, women, the environment, minorities, LGBT community, etc, etc, etc are enormous.
If you want a different system, by all means work to change it. But in the meantime, the choice is clear. Our nominee will be Hillary or Bernie. That's it. End of story. We'll have another four years to change the system after the election.
No one is going to beg for your vote, but you should be aware of the stakes.
