17. I've made the

vodka crust, but vinegar makes it just as flaky and a little more moist.

Here's my basic go-to recipe:

3 c. flour
1-1/2 c shortening
1/2 tsp salt
5 tbsp cold water
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp vinegar

Combine flour, shortening and salt. Mix well with pastry blender. Mix water, vinegar, and egg together and add to flour mixture. Mix lightly with a fork. Refrigerate for about 30 mins to make it easier to roll out. Makes 2 crusts. Half recipe for one crust pie.
