(15,805 posts)Politicians are (in)famous for courting various demographic groups, so why would you think this is suddenly a strange concept? Hillary has a perfect opportunity, especially this year when so many Republicans are running away from Trump, to siphon off a big chunk of those voters and snatch away any hope for a Trump victory.
Don't trash the whole concept of Democrats as the Big Tent Party who welcomes everyone from radical leftists to left leaning crossover Republicans. This was one of Sanders major shortcomings, he was too rigid, too locked into one major demographic bloc, to ever make it in a general election where candidates MUST attract voters from every subset to win. Your "honest" critique, like Sanders views, is too narrow and ideologically based to be realistic in today's volatile election process.
