standard so as not to have her abilities, to be impartial and independent, questioned.
Appearances matter. Whether she spoke about the ongoing investigation or didn't, people are going to wonder.
If the judge in a trial over a cop shooting a black teen is seen playing golf with the police chief, during the trial, people are going to question his ability to be impartial.
