4. Been there, but don't be too hard on them....

12 months ago, I was just like them.

I knew the GOP were Evil. I knew they interested in nothing but enriching the Rich. That was why they ran Mr Ritchie Rich himself. If we could just get Barack re-elected, he could do the things that the freedom of a second term President allowed. Then we won,and we were saved.

Then I watched as my President repeatedly offered up Social Security to the Gods of Austerity. I saw corporate shills appointed by my President to "guard the Hen house". I saw Drone strikes, militarization of our police force, the prosecution of
conscientious objectors as " Enemies of the state", and Bradley Manning tortured. It was soon apparent to me that "Liberals" would only be allowed to have victories on matters that didn't cost the 1 % any Money ( "Power" is probably more appropriate, but I initially believed it was about" Money" ). I watched as Wall Street was declared " too big to jail".

I concluded that the threat of Impeachment was the only thing that might sway the President. So I said that I would support the Few in congress who were against chained cpi for Social Security, if they threatened to reach across the aisle to support impeachment for drone strikes. I thought the threat alone might cause a pullback. And i was pissed at the idea of my Father's SS being cut, just to pay for Ritchie rich tax cuts.

I was flagged and censored by a jury.

I self-deleted everything and quit.

I came back out of habit, at first. I had come to believe that democrats and republicans are different, yet the same. They use different approaches to achieve the same goal: the goal to win the right to represent the 1%. I think the 1% like Repubs because they do not care if people know who they really represent. but they Like Dems because they can help squash dissent at the source: sites like DU. Whether it is corruption or pure partisanship, I do not know. But I do believe sites like this are monitored, to get an idea of prevailing attitudes. That is why there must be dissent. We must post opinions, in the face of opposition, to keep the narrative open. Silence is Compliance. Fascism is on the rise in .America. Awareness is the first step to enlightenment....

You and I probably do not agree on everything, but so what?

Come back soon...
