5. People are just more comfortable with being able to easily divide the world up into Good and Bad

and place themselves on the Good side of the line. Some men don't like Feminism, except in very easy to understand situations, because they don't like acknowledging that they might have some Bad in them.

Everybody has Bad in them; the person who is most sure of their Goodness is likely to be pretty damn Bad. It's only by acknowledging and fighting against the Bad in us that we can really become Good. In this context - most men have some chauvanism or misogyny in them; it's all around us in our society. It's hard to swim in filthy waters and not get a little bit dirty. You can choose to ignore that dirt and pretend it doesn't exist or you can choose to acknowledge it and do your best to wipe it away.

At any rate, I hope you don't get kicked off anytime soon, and I hope Redqueen decides to rejoin (although I can understand why she might not).
