I have had several bosses tell me they won't hire anyone who comes in after lunch. They think it is a sign you can't get up, dressed and out of the house in the AM. Another boss told me they don't hire anyone who comes in on Thurs and Fri. It means they have been applying and interviewing all week with no success and wonder why.

So when I was looking for a new job I made my plan of attack to get all applications, resumes, and interviews in before lunch and by Wednesday. It always worked. I never spent more than 2 weeks looking for a job.

Remember to advocate for yourself. You are worth it. Even if you will accept the salary, ask for more. The worst they can say is no and you accept what they offer. Or they might say OK.
