169. Oh! Under employment is rough!

My significant other has been dealing with a little of that. She's an environmental scientist working for one of Washington State University's research centers as basically a web master. They love her there but can't employ her as a full-time scientist, for funding reasons. So, she's a part-time employee. When she's not doing that, she's usually volunteering with a salmon enhancement/restoration group somewhere (Which is what she really wants to be to be doing, but finding paid work in that field is difficult, unless we move to the other side of the state). I'm really hoping she gets a bit of your luck. We've trying to get her employed in a field she would enjoy.

By the sounds of things, it would seem you picked up a federal/government job?
