In a case in Texas a few years ago, the shooter recorded himself during the exchange that lead to the death of his neighbor in a dispute over loud music.

I think he thought it would strengthen his case for a 'Stand Your Ground' acquittal.

He recorded himself saying things like: "I'm standing my ground! I'm in fear for my life!" before murdering his neighbor.

Fortunately, the jury was having none of it, and convicted the bastard.
