but remember, May 3 was a week and a half before the season even started. Team rosters were not even set yet.

And this was a week and a half before CC played even one game in the W. At the time, even though we knew she was a good player, no one knew how long it would take for her to adjust to playing professional women's basketball. Even for the best college ball players it takes a few weeks to adjust to the increased speed and and increased physical play. So yeah, if I was a coach I wouldn't worry about CC or any other player before the season started.

I have been watching W games for several years, and started watching women's college ball games this last spring (to see CC and Angel Reese and Cameron Brink) and as good as they all were, they were playing in slow motion compared to the professionals.

Yesterday's game showed that both CC and Angel Reese have adjusted very well.
