my grow is in the basement, and air is vented via an 8-inch pipe out the window. Keeping it heated in the winter is easy with a low setting on a heater, to supplement the 60-degree air to 70. But this is not all the time.
in the summer, no prob.
I live in Missouri. SW.
Our electric bill is about $10 more a month, mostly from lights. I have a 5 x 5 tent. I don't think I expel that much greenhouse gas.
My grow is legal, btw.
