Democratic Primaries

I rarely post here but I cant stomach any more of these If Bernie wins all is lost threads. Back your horse and stop throwing mud on the rest of the field. Let the people vote. Were going to win.
Im 61, so its not my first rodeo. Im what is known in America as the far left. In other words Id like to see America advance to where the rest of the industrialized world arrived in the middle of the last century.
You have to live in a place where healthcare is a tool for extracting wealth, where the criminal justice system is a profitable way to create slave labor while disenfranchising minorities, where elections are a system of institutionalized graft and where public policy is sold to the highest bidder without regard for the common good or for future consequences, to believe what I want, what Bernie is proposing, is somehow radical.
Turning our election finance system into a bottomless money pit was a stroke of evil genius for conservatives. They have made winning elections dependent on the one thing they have an absolute advantage in: Money. And if you want to know why MBNBC hates Bernie, there is your answer. Campaign finance reform will cost the media dearly, while making elections about ideas and policies rather than who is selling themselves to whom..
Trump is going to lose to whomever is the democratic candidate. He lost the popular vote in 2016 and he hasnt made a friend since. Not one. Hes pissed off the farmers, the truckers, the coal miners, the military, you name it. For a lot of people he was a protest vote that they now regret. Hes going to go down in flames.
So lets take advantage of the situation and stand for something for once. Forty years of being milktoast republican lite has seen the democratic party, and in turn the country wither and rot. Trump himself is a manifestation of the loss of our moral compass.
So stop the pearl clutching and stand for something for a change. Lets see if we cant finally claw our way into the middle of the 20th century. Give people something to get excited about. The promise of a better life, and it will be.

I prefer to win...then 'stand for whatever' ....there is no honor in losing to Trump.

Thank you 'Undecided'. With 43% of the DU vote, your candidate seems like a sure winner.

Hear, hear. I agree completely... except I don't think winning is quite as sure a thing as you do.
