1. A lot of it comes down to location and projection

We have largely become a party of the cities, and those urban cores are where our most progressive politicians get elected.

The problem is when surrounded by other very liberal individuals and represented by a true progressive, it becomes easy to forget that people and opinions are very different outside the bubble.

I live in a rural conservative area, and I do cringe sometimes when I see discussions on topics like the minimum wage, transportation/fossil fuels, housing - where most of those on DU are completely forgetting about how the topic would impact a non-urban setting.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
