Besides being well qualified to be president, and also ideally representing diversity (i.e. in color, gender, sexual orientation)... the priority for Biden's VP selection should be to:

	help shore up support from the left to help maximize that turnout/enthusiasm in November

	help shore up the voters in the center to maximize appeal to moderates in November
	1 (7%)
	be from a state that the VP choice could help swing (e.g. someone from Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Florida, or Texas)
