OTTAWA - The agency in charge of security at Canada's airports will conduct an internal audit into missing uniform parts and says there's no reason to worry even though more than 1,100 security pieces have been lost.
The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) handed in a report Monday on the missing uniforms to Transport Minister Jean Lapierre, who demanded the report after a CBC story last week revealing 1,127 uniform and uniform pieces are unaccounted for.

Opposition politicians had feared the uniforms and other pieces could be used to gain access to secure areas in the country's 89 airports, but the report said that could not happen.
