Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Apr. 11 (UPI) -- Haitian police have killed another prominent rebel leader, the second in three days, Haitian radio reported Monday.
Jean-Rene Anthony was killed in during an exchange of gunfire with officers late Sunday night in Port-au-Prince.
Anthony joined Ravix Remissainthe -- killed during the weekend -- on the police wanted list of Haitian armed rebels, who last year were instrumental in prompting then-President Jean-Bertrand Aristide's to leave the country.
The rebels -- many members of the military Aristide disbanded in the 1990's -- began taking over towns and cities in the embattled Caribbean country until making their way to the capital by the end of February 2004.
