One of the things I reject from this system is the idea that you can develop a political sense complex and rich enough to work in the real world based on either binary oppositions or the working out of a small number of idealistic principles.

And any sane person should.
That said, there are clearly measures of things that are opposites like autonomy and autocracy, though you can't always gauge them scientifically, and political platforms that advocate for or against these things. Charts useful lies. They're caricatures.
