Ray Bradbury Should Be Thanking Moore Instead Of Being PO'd
Edited on Wed Jul-07-04 07:25 AM by khephra
"Stephen King's The Dark Tower: Song of Susannah remains on 8 lists this week; Karen Joy Fowler remains on 6 lists. Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 is up to #46 on USA Today combined list. "

There's no other reason for F451 to be going up the charts other than from the publicity that Bradbury has received from Moore's film.

1. Ray is a bit idiosyncratic

so I dont think he's going to be swayed by sales and piggybacked success at this point in his career.

2. More Hypocrisy from Bradbury
It looks like various DUers previously pointed out that Bradbury took titles from Shakespeare ("Something Wicked This Way Comes") and Whitman ("I Sing the Body Electric"); the British Private Eye magazione this week points out he's also used Dickens ("A Graveyard for Lunatics: Another Tale of Two Cities") and Orwell, with a translation of Proust ("Beyond 1984: A Remembrance of Things Future").
