Republican voters are in denial about their votes for Bush.... |
|
They know in their hearts and in their dreams, this was one of the biggest mistakes they have ever voted for. They had no idea he would spend the surplus so fast and run us so deeply into debt. They had no idea he would be so arrogant and unwise in foreign policy. They had no idea he would go to sleep at the wheel and let terrorists attack our nation. They did know that if something happened he would blame it on Bill Clinton or someone else. But they had no idea he would wield the office with such power. And now, they whisper to each other for consolation. But their hearts are heavy from their mistake. They hope and wish for someone to tell them they were not wrong. But their hearts have no ears.

They happily support torture and murder. No escaping the culpabaility of each and EVERY Bushevik supporter, duped or not.
No excuses left for these Handjobs of Evil.
None.

They know Bush. They are just like him. They never admit mistakes because they are never wrong.

I've talked with many people who voted for bush and are sick of him. The problem they have with Kerry seems to be based on a lot of mis-information (blame RWR for this). JK just needs to get his message out to these people and he'll win in Nov.

8. Possibly a good percentage are in denial..... |
|
There's been incredible strain there since the right wing neocons have been successful in pushing their agenda....but this in fact is a key part of their formula for success...
We had some bleak chance they'd go in some sane direction with McCain...but he was chewed up and spit out...and has his head up his ass about the war effort....so count him out. His random acts of sanity are not worth even taking notice of anymore.
Who else has any chance of taking the party in a moderate direction? I've been most impressed with things that Bucannan has said recently....the only one I've seen outspoken against the war and honest enough to admit that it just didn't work out....but he's got to be considered a waco at this point.
But you see....the neocon rightwing psycho-religious movement is all about dividing the country into a moral civil war....and perpetuating a state of uneasiness and continued stratification of our society.
They've carefully mapped out exactly what it means for their voting base....and it looks good....because people can then "vote their heart" (not their minds) on a number of clever neocon moral convolutions....which ensures them a powerful voting base....especially in a presidential election.
It's entirely anti-American and destructive for this country...but the divide allows them to maintain control....a feat truly impressive when you consider that they represent less than 1% of the country.
So being unsettled, nerotic, on edge, or even "in denial" is all part of their generic formula to keep 2 sides fighting it out for years to come.....with jerk offs like cheney and others laughing their way to the bank.
