WOOHOO: My parents are voting for Kerry!!!!!

I was trapped inside my car outside my home because we were having a major thunderstorm and I didn't have an umbrella, so I figured I'd give my mother a call.

My stepfather answered and he asked me what I thought about Edwards as Kerry's running mate. I said he was a good choice but Kerry had plenty to choose from. Then the bomshell was dropped. My stepfather said there were about 3-4 democrats that if Kerry picked he'd probably vote for Kerry and Edwards was one of his (Gephardt was his first choice - the man is Steel Labor which endorsed Gephardt).

Of course however my stepfather votes my mother will do the same. They are also supporting Tim Holden in PA17 instead of doofus Scott Paterno.

My husband, my children and their spouses support the Dems, but my mother and my siblings have been Repub. I hope that Edwards will make a difference with some of them. I don't talk politics with the Repub relatives, but I hope that they will see Edwards on TV and start to realize that the Dems have the stronger ticket.

I'm curious though, have you ever asked your mom why she votes the same as her husband (your stepfather?) I know this happens quite often, and I've always wondered why.
