My honest critique as a Clark supporter: I don't like thinking of Sen. Kerry as a potential "war president." I understand its necessity, but I prefer to think of him as someone who can transform war into peace.

Wes was my second choice after DK in the primaries, and he was my highest hope for VP. I can live with Edwards, no problem there, but WOW, what a barburner of a speech Clark just gave! I sure hope he gets a cabinet post. I'd love to see more of him in government. All y'all who were involved in the Draft Clark movement, thank you so much for bringing him into this campaign, and into the public eye.

as before Kerry chose Edwards. I've been busy trying to paint the house... but would much rather be here on DU. That's been hard to do because I'm so addicted to DU.
The last time I heard from WesDem...she was busy moving. But I really expected to see her here tonight. WesDem...where art thou?
That was the best speech Wes ever gave. I'm so happy that he must be feeling really good about his speech and the reception and ovation he received. His family must be soooo proud. (I was proud too) I wish they showed them in the crowd. Wasn't that nice that Clark thanked all his family. I think he was the only one to do that. He's such an officer and gentleman. I just love him and miss him so much. :loveya:

From C-SPAN.
Javascript isn't working on the site, so I went into their source code and found this:
rtsp://cspanrm.fplive.net/cspan/project/c04/c04_dnc072904_clark.rm
Enter it into your Real Player browser. It works!

Clark was awesome. :loveya: :bounce:
Made me realize how much I miss him. BUt I do think he'll be back in some big capacity in the Kerry Administration.
Now, Senator Kerry, it's your turn to kick some butt.

I just watched the speech on the Internet (missed it live, was at a campaign house party). Wow! This was possibly the most important speech in WKC's life and he nailed it.
I'm not a flag-waver. But Wes Clark speaks with such conviction and passion about what patriotism means to him, it inspires me to the core.
