So, Isn't It Sorta A Big News Story That So Many "News" Orgs Were WRONG |
|
about the pope's death? Isn't that, like, kinda fucked up and whatnot? I mean, talk about lacking any credibility whatsoever...:eyes:
Just another nail in the coffin of corporate media.

5. He probably HAS died, but they are holding the information |
|
until the Vatican is ready to release the info.. Of course our media is more interested in being FIRST, than in being right:)

8. I think this is probably true. |
|
The Vatican takes its time about these things, which can really screw with modern news organizations. I think the announcement will be made before noon Rome time.

11. didn't Arafat "die" about a dozen times? |
|
They're so eager to report on death, unless it happens to one of our soldiers. Then it's almost complete silence.

12. MSNBC chose the high road today..... |
|
Keith Olbermann comes back on at 11pm tonight...stay tuned.
And yes, between Faux and CNN, there were brainfarts in ethical reporting, which I found out about on DU's LBN. Too sad, and too sad the LBN thread went on far too long announcing the Pope's death without proper confirmed sources.
I felt bad for those who count on DU's LBN for news. That didn't happen today :(

13. It wasn't DU's fault in any way, the fault lies solely with |
|
the so-called MSM, they are the ones who breathlessly reported the wrong information. DUers were only relaying what was being reported, the MSM were responsible for reporting the facts and, as usual, they got it wrong.
