Poll question: Undecideds Vs.Front Runners on DU. Poll! |
|
Thought I would try doing a poll, because I'm curious about how many DU'ers are still undecided about which candidate they hope will win the nomination. But, I'll include the other candidates to see how many support those candidates. Don't know if I've formatted correctly.....but, here goes.

1. I put up a similar poll a few hours ago and included Graham, so was out |
|
of choices for "other" or "undecided". It didn't get much attention.

2. OMG! I forgot Graham! Sorry about that.....I was trying for Undecideds.. |
|
do you have a link to your poll. I didn't see it. I'm going to keep this one kicked until I get as many folks as I can. I think that DU has many "Undecideds." Maybe more than those who have declared for a candidate.

Wishful thinking, I guess.

For me, my choices are Dean or Clark, unless Gephardt really picks up steam.

13. Thanks! was looking for that vote.....not getting the Clarkies here..... |
|
they think I don't like him......and maybe don't want to post on this.....Much higher numbers for Clark on Pepperbellies Clark ean Poll than here. But, I was looking for DU Undecideds....I wanted them to have a voice and to see if they are big numbers.......so whatever.

17. Thanks, still hoping to get more of our DU 30,000....I'm not Frank Luntz |
|
but I may have to keep this going for days to get some good numbers! ;-) Most of our DU polls don't get high enough numbers to give a big sample compared to our registered partisan users.

24. surprising results so far... |
|
the most surprising to me is how many people would support Clark, even though he has not released any of the specifics that Kerry, Kucinich, and Dean have..in presenting a policy agenda. It also surprises me that there are so few undecided DUers this early in the process. And the oddest result from this poll is how little support Gephardt has at DU.

First of all, it would be interesting to have a new forum that had permanently running candidate polls ... it would be interesting to measure how things change over time ... polls would start fresh each week ...
Here are some other candidate polling ideas:
1. Undecideds Only ... if you had to vote today, which candidate would you vote for (also offer Green Party as a choice).
2. Head to Head Polls of leading candidates ... if all other candidates dropped out, would you vote for A or B ... candidates below some level, e.g. 10% (on DU), would not be included in a poll.
for example, one poll would offer only Dean vs. Kerry, another would offer Dean vs. Clark and another Clark vs. Kucinich, etc.

38. I voted undecided, because |
|
I don't see the point of my "supporting" any one candidate at this point. We don't have a primary, I know nothing about a caucus in Nevada (do we have one?--would appreciate info.), and, being unemployed, I can't contribute to anyone's campaign. So my saying I'm "for" ..........(fill in the blank) is sort of like picking a football team to root for. It might engage my emotions but would have no practical effect.
That doesn't mean I'm not interested in news about the candidates and campaigns. I am. I have some preferences, but they're not all centered on one candidate. When push comes to shove, I'll definitely vote ABB.
