Why I won't be voting for ANY of the Dem candidates |
|
Cuz they all suck, that's why. I didn't use to think so. I used to think a lot of 'em had at least something on the ball. But I've been reading DU faithfully for some time now, and I've learned that whatever positive attributes any of the candidates have going for em are completely outweighed by the ghastly shortcomings that have been so relentlessly pointed out.
I was holding out for Clark, but nope--he doesn't cut it either, as I have learned in the last couple of hours. My god, what a total waffling schlub--and probably a war criminal to boot! Can you believe the Dems are dumb enough to let him put his name in the ring? Must be because the others are all awful too, each in his own special way.
Well--phew!--what a relief! All I can say is, THANKS! Cripes, if I hadn't been reading DU, I might've been dumb enough to actually go out and VOTE for one of these guys.

I can't believe what these candidates are saying! They are truly absurd, and it's unbelievable that we can't do better.

I was gonna put one of those </sarcasm> tags at the end, then I decided, naaaaah, let's just see how humorless some of these bastids are.

And I'm thinking this is a great post. From Dean's wife not being "First Lady" material to Kerry not playing a good guitar, they all suck.
Great sarcasm, but it does prove that people are very "My team first". Until we realize that it's "OUR team first", we're going to be doomed to four more wars, uh, years of *.

Well let me tell you about your candidate, None Of The Above. He is a lazy good for nothing ZERO. Waffle? Hah hah hah. NOTA doesn't even have the balls to take a position to begin with, let alone flip flop on it. And what I really hate about that son of a bitch is that he always screwed me up by being the wrong option on multiple choice tests. Fuck None Of The Above! He's useless.
I much prefer All Of The Above. She combines the flaws, real and imagined, of all the other candidates such that she's the perfect DU alternative: she pleases no one, pisses everyone off, and gives them a target to vent their impotence on. All Of The Above in 2004!!! Her motto is the best: "Everything You Love TO Hate."

People round here seem to want Jesus as a candidate. At this point, I would be happy with anyone who won't destroy the world as we know it (that is, anyone but Bush).

Jesus? No way.
He's WAY too liberal... Would totally alienate the swing voters.
Has No military experience.
Hung out with a known woman of ill repute.
Not sure about his parents. Heard he might be Jewish.

all the bashing. We are at the "falling in love" stage (as coined by Clinton). People are passionate and that is good. I still feel that the ratio of thoughtful to senseless attacks is decent enough to keep me coming back.

25. yuppper you got me with this post |

i fell for it hook line and sinker , but you got to understand with jr. running this country , everybody is'nt having a good time , my wife and i are just one step ahead of the big dip into living in the streets with alot of the others who have felt the foolish decisions that jr. have made to this country , i'm disabled and can't even get out and try to bring the bacon home again , and my wife is killing herself trying to keep the rest of the money rolling in that it takes to make a happy home , so forgive me for not thinking your joke was so cool , everybody is'nt singing a great tune in life right now , some of us are hurting and when ever someone posts something about not voting for a new dem pres. i get pissed off real fast

...except in the sense of trying to get em to step back and look at what we're doing and what the REAL enemy is around here. As your post so eloquently points out. I didn't want anyone to think my joke was cool, I wanted them to THINK.
