5. i recently got a reprint of Clara Barton's |
|
book she wrote about the history of the red cross and the many disasters she handles. Johnstown(fascinating), galveston, AN EARLIER genocide of the (brain fart?) by the turks before the 1917 one, a hurricane that hit NC inhabited by blacks(never heard of that one) where she met black vet of the civil war. a russina famine. and she gave many first hand descriptions. and didn't hold anything back. i had to read most of it before i sold it on ebay.
